Questions parents ask

Frequently asked questions

Should we try for MBBS in India first?

Yes. In 2026, 11.21 lakh students qualified NEET for about 1,36,939 MBBS seats, so government seats go to the top ranks. Check your realistic options in MCC and state counselling first. If no affordable seat is likely, an NMC-compliant university abroad is a sound alternative.

What is the difference between MCC and state counselling?

MCC (the Medical Counselling Committee) fills the 15% All India Quota of government colleges, plus AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities and all deemed universities. Each state runs its own counselling for the other 85% of government seats and for private colleges in that state. You can take part in both.

Can a student from another state get a private college seat in UP?

Yes. UP domicile is needed only for government seats. Private and minority college seats in Uttar Pradesh are open to NEET-qualified students from any state, through UP DGME counselling.

How much does a private MBBS seat cost in India?

Tuition alone for private colleges in Uttar Pradesh is ₹12.72 lakh to ₹19.78 lakh a year in 2026-27. Deemed universities cost ₹43.95 lakh to ₹1.35 crore in tuition for the full course. Hostel and other fees are extra.

Is an MBBS from abroad valid in India?

Yes, if the student meets every NMC rule: NEET qualification, at least 54 months of study and a 12-month internship at one university, English medium, and eligibility for a licence in that country. The student must then clear FMGE and do a 12-month internship in India.

Do you sell management or donation seats?

No. Every admission we help with goes through official MCC or state counselling, or the foreign university's own process. Anyone promising a guaranteed seat for a payment is a red flag.
