Deemed universities for MBBS: fees and seats
All seats through MCC, open to every state. Here is what each one charges for 2026-27, taken from its own fee notice.
Deemed universities fill all their MBBS seats through MCC counselling. There is no domicile rule and no state quota, and any NEET-qualified student can register. Fees are set by each university, not by the government, so they are among the highest in India.

Tuition from each university's official 2026-27 fee notice or MCC institute profile (one is 2025-26, marked). "Tuition, 4.5 years" excludes hostel, one-time fees and refundable deposits, which can add several lakh. "Ask us" means the university had not published a fee we could verify. Seats from MCC's deemed seat matrix. In the 2026 stray rounds some deemed colleges offered discounts, so always confirm the current fee with the university before choice filling.
Before you lock a deemed university in MCC, check the total cost for all five and a half years including hostel and deposits, and the payment schedule. Once allotted from Round 2 onwards, leaving costs you the ₹2 lakh deposit.
Common questions
Who can apply for deemed universities?
Any NEET-qualified candidate from any state, through MCC. NRI quota seats need NRI documents as set out in the MCC bulletin.
Are deemed university degrees recognised?
Yes. Deemed universities with NMC-approved MBBS seats award degrees that are recognised like any other Indian MBBS.
Is the fee the same every year?
Not always. Some universities fix the fee for the whole course, while others raise it every year (for example by 7%). The table shows the first-year figure; ask for the full schedule.
