Other costs to budget for

  • Food: Indian mess, or cooking in the hostel kitchen, which costs less.
  • Winter clothing: a proper winter jacket, boots and gloves, especially for Russia and Kazakhstan.
  • Travel home: a return ticket once a year.
  • Books, phone and transport: modest, as most universities are in compact student areas.
  • FMGE coaching: optional, from the third or fourth year.

Ask us for a six-year budget for your chosen university. It lists every fee, mess and visa extension cost, year by year.
