BDS

BUMS

• Counselling: AACCC for AIQ/central/deemed seats; state Ayush counselling for the rest
• Seats: 56 Unani UG colleges in 2025-26 (Lok Sabha AU1109)

Regulated by NCISM; Urdu knowledge typically required by many colleges.

BSMS

• Duration: 5.5 years (4.5 years + 1-year internship)
• NEET needed: Yes
• Counselling: AACCC for AIQ/central/deemed seats; state counselling (mainly Tamil Nadu) for the rest
• Seats: 17 Siddha UG colleges in 2025-26 (Lok Sabha AU1109)

Concentrated in Tamil Nadu/Kerala; regulated by NCISM.

BVSc & AH

• Duration: 5.5 years including compulsory 1-year internship (VCI)
• NEET needed: Yes
• Counselling: VCI conducts 15% All India Quota on NEET-UG merit; remaining 85% via state veterinary universities/state counselling
• Seats: 858 AIQ seats for 2026-27 (VCI Information Bulletin); total national seats not stated by VCI (858 is 15% of participating colleges' intake)

Veterinary doctor; state animal husbandry departments, dairy/poultry industry, MVSc. VCI states it has no role in fees.

BPT

• NEET needed: No (check your state)
• Counselling: State/university-level counselling or institutional merit; some states/institutions use NEET scores

NCAHP reportedly notified (5 Feb 2026) that NEET is not mandatory for BPT/BOT until 2027-28; 12th PCB 50% (40% reserved) - official notice not located. Commonly 4 years + internship.

B.Sc Nursing

• Duration: 4 years (INC curriculum, internship within final year)
• NEET needed: No (check your state)
• Counselling: Varies: MCC fills B.Sc Nursing seats in central institutes via NEET (507 seats in 9 institutes, 2025); many states/universities use their own entrance or merit
• Seats: 98,749 seats in 1,958 colleges (8,345 govt / 90,404 private) - MoHFW figure reported Dec 2019 (dated; current count higher, not confirmed)

Registered nurse (INC/State Nursing Council); strong demand in India and abroad; M.Sc Nursing, NORCET for AIIMS nursing officer jobs.
