Other costs to budget for
- Food: Indian mess, or cooking in the hostel kitchen, which costs less.
- Winter clothing: a proper winter jacket, boots and gloves, especially for Russia and Kazakhstan.
- Travel home: a return ticket once a year.
- Books, phone and transport: modest, as most universities are in compact student areas.
- FMGE coaching: optional, from the third or fourth year.
