85% state-quota govt seats need a Bihar residential certificate (exceptions for children of Bihar govt / central govt / PSU employees posted in Bihar, per prospectus).

Private college seats: Careers360 lists Bihar as an 'open' state for private college seats; UGMAC also counsels 100% of private seats, and reserved-category candidates can take private seats as UR. Confirm the non-domicile clause in the UGMAC-2026 prospectus.
