Rajasthan has 4,326 seats in 30 government colleges and 2,150 seats in 13 private colleges (2025).
Who can apply
State-quota seats need Rajasthan bona fide residence: natural resident (5 years' study in Rajasthan between Classes 1–12 and a parent resident 10+ years), bona fide resident parents, children of Rajasthan/central govt employees posted in the state, or defence/paramilitary wards.
Private college seats: Rajasthan is treated as a closed state in early rounds; Careers360 lists it as 'open from the third round', when non-domicile candidates can compete for vacant seats. NRI seats are separate.
Fees
- Government colleges: ₹70,340 – ₹70,400 (govt colleges, state quota) a year
- Private colleges: Private state quota ~₹18.9 lakh (Ananta) – ₹23 lakh (Geetanjali); management ₹15 lakh – ₹32 lakh; govt-society college management seats ₹7.5 lakh a year
- Counselling registration: ₹2,500 (₹1,500 Rajasthan-domicile SC/ST) + transaction charges
- Security deposit: ₹50,000 govt MBBS; ₹2,00,000 management (govt-society/RUHS CMS); ₹5,00,000 private MBBS and NRI; ₹10,000 BDS (2025 and 2026)
Service bond
Govt seats (not management/NRI): ₹10 lakh bond to serve the state govt for 2 years after MBBS (per counselling guide); separate bond for govt-society management seats (pay remaining fees if leaving).
When counselling happens
2026: Round 1 choice filling 14–25 Aug, result 29 Aug; Round 2 allotment 14 Sep; Round 3 application 23 Sep–3 Oct, allotment 9 Oct; stray round result 22 Oct, reporting to 26 Oct.
