Who we are

WhiteCoat Yatra is an education consultancy that guides Indian students who want to study medicine abroad. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect

  • When you contact us: the student's name, mobile number, city, NEET status and score, preferred country and budget.
  • During admission, only if you go ahead: Class 10 and 12 marksheets, NEET scorecard, passport, photographs, medical reports and the other documents that universities, embassies and banks ask for.
  • When you use this website: basic technical information such as pages visited and device type, if analytics is switched on.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and give counselling.
  • To apply to universities, get the admission and invitation letters, and arrange visa, travel, apostille and translation.
  • To help with an education loan or forex, only if you ask us to.
  • To send you updates about your application, NMC rule changes and deadlines. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit the form or share documents with us. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, and we may not be able to continue your application without the data.

Students under 18

Many NEET students are under 18. If the student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must fill in our forms or confirm consent on the student's behalf, and we will deal with the parent or guardian for all decisions.

Who we share it with

We share your data only as needed to complete your admission:

  • the university you choose and our admission partners who process applications for it;
  • embassies, visa centres, and apostille, notary and translation service providers;
  • banks or lenders, travel and forex providers, only if you ask for their service;
  • WhatsApp (Meta) when you choose to contact us there; their own privacy terms also apply.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to two years after our last contact, and admission records for as long as you are a student with us plus any period required by law. After that we delete them.

Keeping it safe

We store documents in access-controlled accounts, share them only through secure channels, and limit access to the staff handling your application.

Your rights

You can ask us to: tell you what data we hold about you; correct or update it; delete it when it is no longer needed; withdraw your consent; and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to our grievance officer below. We will reply within 30 days.
