Documents and student visa
Everything you need to collect, and how the student visa works in each country.
Documents checklist
- Class 10 marksheet and certificate
- Class 12 marksheet and certificate (at least 50% in PCB; 40% for reserved categories)
- NEET UG scorecard
- Passport, valid at least 18 months beyond travel
- Passport-size photographs on a white background
- Birth certificate
- Medical fitness certificate and HIV test report
- Admission letter and invitation or visa-support letter from the university
- Fee receipt or proof of payment, if the university asks for it
Most universities first accept scanned copies. Originals are carried by the student and submitted on arrival.
Apostille and translation
Educational certificates and the birth certificate usually need an apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs so they are accepted abroad. Some countries also need them translated into the local language and notarised. We arrange both.
How the student visa works
Russia
The university requests an invitation letter for the student. With it, the student applies for a study visa at the Russian embassy or visa centre in India. The first visa is short; the university extends it after arrival, and then every year.
Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan
The university issues an invitation or visa-support letter, and the student applies for a study visa. After arrival the university registers the student and handles yearly extensions.
Visa rules and processing times change. Apply as early as you can after NEET results, and never travel on a tourist visa to study.
Common questions
Do I need an apostille?
Usually yes for Class 10 and 12 certificates and the birth certificate. We confirm the exact list for your university.
How long does the invitation letter take?
It depends on the university and country, and can take several weeks. Applying in June or July gives the most time.
Who extends the visa every year?
The university's international office, with the student's passport and fee receipts.
