NEET 2026 closing ranks: how far MBBS seats went
Round-by-round closing ranks from MCC's 2026 allotment lists, by category.
How far down the NEET ranks did MBBS and BDS seats go in 2026? These figures come straight from MCC's official allotment lists for Rounds 1, 2, 3 and the stray round: 617 institutes and every category. A round's closing rank is the last rank that got a new seat in that round.

The highest All India Rank that got a government MBBS seat in each round (any college, 15% All India Quota):

In marks, the General-category Round 1 figure is about 572 marks, and the stray-round figure about 562 marks (2026 marks–rank curve). SC and ST seats went much further because of reservation.
The most competitive colleges
Round 1 closing ranks for General category, MBBS. AIIMS, JIPMER and other central institutions fill all their seats through MCC ("All seats"); state colleges here are the 15% All India Quota.

Data: MCC NEET-UG 2026 allotment lists, parsed by us and checked against MCC's published totals. PwD seats are not shown. Students who kept a seat from an earlier round are not counted in that round's closing rank, so a few figures differ slightly from those published elsewhere.
What rank got a government MBBS seat in 2026?
Through MCC's 15% All India Quota, the last General-category government MBBS seat went at AIR 22,342 in Round 1 and AIR 28,515 in the stray round. State quotas have their own, different cutoffs.
How many marks is that?
On the 2026 marks–rank curve, AIR 22,342 is about 572 marks and AIR 28,515 about 562 marks. Treat these as approximate.
Will 2027 cutoffs be the same?
No. They move with the number of seats, the number of candidates and the paper's difficulty. Use 2026 as a guide, and keep realistic choices in your list.
