Key facts

  2. IP quota seats are carved out of the state quota under ESIC norms but are domicile-free, and MCC runs the counselling. [1]
  3. To be eligible, a candidate needs a Ward of Insured Persons certificate with a distinct number and must have qualified NEET UG that year. MCC uses the list of eligible wards provided by ESIC. [1]

  5. For 2026-27, ESIC earmarked 783 IP quota seats across 22 institutions: 695 MBBS, 28 BDS and 60 B.Sc Nursing. [2]
  6. Annual tuition under the ESIC IP quota is Rs 24,000 for MBBS/BDS and Rs 10,000 for B.Sc Nursing. [2]
  7. The IP quota is only for dependent children of workers covered by the ESI scheme. [2]
  8. ESIC seats have four MCC rounds, including an online stray round. [1]

Some figures here come from news reports of state rules; check your state's 2026 counselling brochure before you rely on them.
