AACCC 2026

Under the NCISM (Minimum Standards of Undergraduate Ayurveda Education) Regulations, 2022, BAMS lasts five years and six months: three professional phases of 18 months each plus a 12-month compulsory rotatory internship. The KEAM 2026 prospectus of Kerala's Commissioner for Entrance Examinations states BAMS has 4.5 years of study in three 18-month professional courses, and the degree is awarded only after the prescribed one-year internship.

Eligibility

  • BAMS eligibility under the 2022 regulations is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 50% aggregate in PCB for general category (lower for SC/ST/OBC), and a minimum age of 17 on or before 31 December of the admission year.
  • BAMS admission requires qualifying NEET (UG) at the 50th percentile (40th for SC/ST/OBC), and admission must be through Central, State or UT counselling only.

How seats are split

BAMS seats in government, aided and private colleges are split 15% All India Quota and 85% State/UT quota under the 2022 regulations. The 15% All India Quota, deemed universities and national institutes are counselled by AACCC (Ministry of Ayush); the rest by each state.

AACCC's revised UG 2026-27 schedule (26 Oct 2026) puts Round 3 reporting at 26-31 Oct 2026, Stray Vacancy Round-I registration at 3-9 Nov 2026 with result on 12 Nov, and SVR-II result on 24 Nov 2026.
